Strategic Content Projects & Initiatives
As a content strategist bridging international and domestic audiences, I focus on translating complex sports issues (ethics, equity, inclusion & diversity) into accessible narratives to drive new public dialogue and policy awareness. As an on-site reporter, I leverage an investigative approach to seek and elevate the critical, untold stories beyond the field of play.
Inclusive & Ethical Language Guide for Sports Reporting in Chinese
This project addressed the critical information gap in Chinese media where the lived experiences of underrepresented communities (including persons with disabilities, LGBTQ+, and SGBV survivors) were marginalized, often through inaccurate or stigmatized language. The initiative aimed at challenging these existing narratives, raising awareness for inclusion and diversity, and initiating a new dialogue on ethical and inclusive sports reporting. By strategically adapting the content format, this guide successfully reached 10K views across platforms within the first week of rollout.

Gender equity is a foundational pillar of my content strategy and journalistic work. I have consistently addressed the gender (in)equity challenges in both elite and grassroots sports, athlete welfare issues specifically regarding women athletes (e.g, disordered eating and REDs), and transgender inclusion in sports. My work actively cultivates awareness for less-discussed topics, and critically, successfully helped to establish my partner outlet, Rolling Nut, as a leading voice on gender issues within Chinese sports media.

Women in Sports & Gender Equity in Sports
On-site Coverage at 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics
As the designated on-site reporter for Titan Sports in the high-stakes Beijing Competition Zone, I authored 4 cover-featured stories and 30+ in-depth analyses across six major winter disciplines. My mandate was to extend coverage beyond results and star athletes, providing strategic analysis on critical, complex issues like: the rapid progress of women's freestyle skiing, the influence of Eileen Gu on young women in China, the Kamila Valieva doping case and its reflection of figure skating’s training culture, and geopolitical tensions mirrored in short track speed skating.
I also managed multi-platform content delivery, featuring on live commentary (Ximalaya, Sohu Sports) and producing 20 short-form video explainers for Tencent Sports. Notably, videos covering the Valieva case accumulated over 600K views, with other content maintaining an average of 100K views during the Games.

WTA China Swing Tournament
Consistent Coverage & Partnership (2017-2019)
As a regular on-site reporter for the WTA China Swing, I authored featured stories on milestone moments and commercial growth, including the 5th anniversary of the Wuhan Open, the inaugural Zhengzhou Open, key partnerships (e.g., SAP & WTA), and record-breaking prize money at the 2019 Shenzhen Finals. My work actively contributed to promoting the visibility of women's tennis and WTA’s work in China, particularly for new and lower-tier tournaments.
High-Impact Market Analysis (2023)
Following the three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical tension, I authored a timely, in-depth analysis of the WTA China Swing's past performance and future trajectory. This article was the first comprehensive analysis among Chinese media on the topic at that time, establishing market insight and accumulating 10K+ views.

lululemon “Worn by Us” Campaign (2023)
This feature was commissioned as a key component of the lululemon "Worn by Us" campaign in Mainland China (celebrating the brand's 10th anniversary). Writing for the influential sports business media platform, Lanxiong Sports, I adopted the unique perspective of a lululemon Educator, Yuki Cai, to organically connect brand experience, Yuki’s yogi lifestyle, and her professional insights. The creative process required strategic collaboration with the interviewee, editor, agency, and the brand team to ensure full campaign alignment.
The article became one of the campaign's key featured stories and generated 20K+ views on the Lanxiong platform, significantly boosting visibility.
